Weather advice:

Updated September 23, 2020.

No major concerns.  We do have some rain showers in the forecast.  A few thunderstorms.  Nothing extreme.

Weather Discussion

    1.   A few showers in the forecast.  Not much in the way of measurable rainfall.
    2.   Most areas will pick up 0.00″ to 0.15″.
    3.   Mild weather conditions.
    4.   Cooler next week behind one or two cold fronts.

Not much going on in the weather department.  Sadly, our sunny weather forecast did change to clouds and some spotty rain showers.  You can blame Tropical Storm Beta for that.  That was always a possibility.  I had hoped against it.

With that said, we do need rain.  It is dry.  Fire season is upon us.

Here is the month to date precipitation rankings.  Those brown areas are quite dry.

.

Here is the last 14 days precipitation anomaly in inches.

.

Some light rain will be in the forecast today into tomorrow.  Another chance this weekend.  The weekend chances have been lowered to 20% and below.

It will be warmer Friday into Sunday with higher dew points.  It will feel like late summer vs early autumn.

A stronger cold front arrives Monday.  This will bring in lower humidity and lower temperatures.

All in all, this is a calm weather forecast for this time of the year.

Typically, we start to see severe weather chances increase towards the middle and end of October and then into November.   Then, winter will be upon us.

Again, as a reminder, these are models. They are never 100% accurate. Take the general idea from them.

What should I take from these?

  1. The general idea and not specifics. Models usually do well with the generalities.
  2. The time-stamp is located in the upper left corner.

.

What am I looking at?
You are looking at different models.  Meteorologists use many different models to forecast the weather.  All models are wrong.  Some are more wrong than others.  Meteorologists have to make a forecast based on the guidance/models.

I show you these so you can see what the different models are showing as far as precipitation.  If most of the models agree, then the confidence in the final weather forecast increases.
