Key Seven-Day Weather Information
If your app is not receiving notifications, please email me at beaudodsonweather@gmail.com
I hope you had a nice weekend. The weather was nice on Saturday and Sunday. Some clouds for portions of the region, otherwise nice.
Temperatures were pleasant.
We are waking up to cool temperatures.
Fairly calm weather ahead of us.
Dry and pleasant weather will continue through most of the workweek.
High pressure will keep us dry today and Tuesday. Look for highs mainly in the 70s, with chilly nighttime temperatures in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees.
Warmer weather returns Wednesday. Winds will shift out of the south and push temperatures back into the 80s. A weak front will pass through Wednesday, but it won’t bring any rain. Temperatures should remain warmer than normal through the rest of the workweek.
Watching the weekend
The track of a tropical system remains in question. Worst case, it brings rain showers to the region late in the weekend.
Uncertainty remains about rain chances next weekend. Right now, there is about a 20–30% chance of rain Saturday night into Sunday, mainly south of the Ohio River.
Mainly over Kentucky and Tennessee.
Moisture from the Gulf and possibly the remnants of a tropical system could become involved. The best chance of rain currently appears to stay south and southeast of our region.
This is the system in question. It has not developed, yet.
You can see it on the GFS model, as well.
Again, uncertain it brings us rain, but I am watching it.
This would be late Saturday night into Monday.
.
How far north the rain eventually reaches remains uncertain, so we’ll need to watch trends over the next several days.
Bottom line: 🍂 Pleasant autumn weather through Tuesday → warmer Wednesday through Friday → watching for possible rain next weekend.
Enjoy these days.
