Key Seven-Day Weather Information

For now, I removed the light rain chances across southeast Missouri this weekend.

Temperatures should be nice for a while.  A few 80s mixed in.  No heat waves or extremes.

The colored row of temperatures represents the mean from 50 model runs.

High pressure will remain in control through the weekend, keeping our weather quiet and dry. After several cloudy days, skies have finally cleared, allowing temperatures to warm a little.

We may see some clouds from time to time today and through the weekend, but no rain is expected. Afternoon highs will generally be in the mid-to-upper 70s.

Early next week, winds will turn southerly and bring warmer air back into the region. High temperatures should climb into the 80s and remain there through much of next week.

Rain chances will increase by the middle of next week as an area of low pressure approaches the region. The exact timing is still uncertain, but rain chances should begin increasing from west to east Tuesday night.

Scattered showers and possibly thunderstorms will remain possible Wednesday through Friday, with rain chances generally around 30% to 60%.

Also. data is mixed with rain amounts.  Many models show the heaviest rain northwest and southeast of our region.  Leaving us with lower totals.  This will need to be monitored.

It will NOT rain continuously during this period. Plenty of dry periods will occur between rounds of rain. The broad rain chances shown over several days are mainly because forecast models still disagree on the system’s exact timing.

Several cold fronts appear to impact our region over the next three weeks.

What is the % chance of rain?

These maps are broken down into 12-hour time periods.

* Remember, a 20% chance of rain during the summer months does not mean that it will not rain.  It means there will be a few thunderstorms on the radar.

** NEW SERVICE **  I have partnered with WeatherCall to bring you an added layer of protection.
.
More information on the WeatherCall subscription service at the link below or use the QR code.

.
We have a new service to complement your www.weathertalk.com subscription.  This does NOT replace www.weathertalk.com It is simply another tool for you to receive severe weather information.

I use it myself. I encourage everyone to have 3 to 5 ways to receive severe weather information. All sources can fail, and the more sources you have, the better prepared you will be in the event of severe weather warnings.
.
WeatherCall will call your cell phone or home number if your home is under a tornado or severe thunderstorm warning.  It only calls you if your home is inside the warning box/polygon. If you are outside the warning box/polygon, it will not disturb you.
Here is a video with more information and a demonstration of how it works.
