Key Seven-Day Weather Information

If your app is not receiving notifications, then please email me at beaudodsonweather@gmail.com

The heat wave will continue through the weekend. A Heat Advisory remains in effect through Sunday, with afternoon temperatures reaching the middle 90s to near 100 degrees. Some locations could approach or break record highs.

A weak front to our north may move far enough south today to produce a few isolated showers and thunderstorms, mainly across northern and eastern portions of the region. Most locations will remain dry. A stray shower or thunderstorm is also possible Saturday afternoon, mainly over southwest Indiana.

Changes will begin late Sunday into Monday as a cold front slowly moves across the region. Shower and thunderstorm chances will increase Sunday night into Monday, especially across northern and western areas at first. Rain chances will spread southeast during the day Monday.

Monday afternoon rain chances will range from around 20–40% across western Kentucky to 40–60% across the rest of the region. Scattered showers and thunderstorms may continue Monday evening before gradually ending from northwest to southeast into Monday night.

🌡️ The cold front will finally bring relief from the heat.

Finally!

Temperatures have been trending cooler for next week.  Our first brush with autumn.  Sure beats the last three weeks.

Monday will still be warm, with highs ranging from the upper 80s northwest to the middle 90s southeast.

By Tuesday, highs will only reach the middle 70s northwest to the middle 80s southeast.

Wednesday and Thursday look dry and much more comfortable, with highs generally in the middle 70s to around 80 degrees. Humidity levels will also be much lower.

What is the % chance of rain?

These maps are broken down into 12-hour time periods.

* Remember, a 20% chance of rain during the summer months does not mean that it will not rain.  It means there will be a few thunderstorms on the radar.

** NEW SERVICE **  I have partnered with WeatherCall to bring you an added layer of protection.
.
More information on the WeatherCall subscription service at the link below or use the QR code.

.
We have a new service to complement your www.weathertalk.com subscription.  This does NOT replace www.weathertalk.com It is simply another tool for you to receive severe weather information.

I use it myself. I encourage everyone to have 3 to 5 ways to receive severe weather information. All sources can fail, and the more sources you have, the better prepared you will be in the event of severe weather warnings.
.
WeatherCall will call your cell phone or home number if your home is under a tornado or severe thunderstorm warning.  It only calls you if your home is inside the warning box/polygon. If you are outside the warning box/polygon, it will not disturb you.
Here is a video with more information and a demonstration of how it works.
