As we prepare for spring, let’s make sure you have three to five ways of receiving your severe weather information.

Forecast Discussion
The primary weather topic today and tonight will be rain.
Rain is already showing up on radar this morning and will overspread the region as we move through today into this evening. The rain will then end west to east this evening and tonight. Clouds will linger into the night.
Seasonable temperatures today. Above average temperatures tonight (with those remaining clouds).
I don’t have any weather concerns for your Friday or Friday night. It will be chilly Friday night, but winds may stay up just enough to prevent a widespread killing frost.
If the wind were to subside, then the frost risk increases.
A light freeze is possible Friday night in some locations. Expect lows in the upper 20s to lower 30s.
You can take the general idea from this graphic.
Upper 20s north. Lower 30s south. You can see where the potential placement of the freeze line will be.
For some, it will be close. Thus, a light freeze is certainly possible. If clouds clear fully, then shave another degree or two off the thermometer.
This will not be the last frost and freeze threat.
Our next weather system quickly pulls into the region Saturday.
Most of Saturday morning will be dry. Rain will increase from northwest to southeast across the region during the afternoon and evening hours.
Saturday’s future-cast radar shows that nicely.

Rain will increase Saturday night into Sunday. A few thunderstorms will be possible, as well. Some elevated CAPE north of the front boundary.
I can’t completely rule out some pea size hail. The freezing level will be fairly low.
We dry out as we move into Sunday evening and night.
Dry conditions Monday into Wednesday.
We will need to monitor temperatures Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday night. They may provide an opportunity for frost and freeze conditions. I know many of you already have flowers blooming and trees budding.
That may not be our last chance at freezing, as well.
