Well, it is definitely going to feel like autumn outside. Cool temperatures. Clouds. Gusty wind. Sprinkles. That sums up your Sunday.
Don’t expect measurable rain, but trace amounts are possible.
It will be cool tonight. Some clouds, as well. A light sprinkle will again be possible.
Monday through Wednesday will deliver calm weather. Decent temperatures. No extremes.
Forecast confidence decreases Wednesday night into Friday as a series of disturbances move across the region. These disturbances will be accompanied by clouds and perhaps even some rain.
The confidence in rain chances remains low, at best. I do have 20% to 30% chances Wednesday night into Friday. It is possible that I will need to increase rain chances, but confidence is not high enough, for now at least, to do that. Monitor updates.
Dry conditions prevail across much of the region. A few spots have received rain over the past few weeks, but not everyone.
Drought continues to develop. The Mississippi River is at record low levels in some cities/towns.

I have only recorded around an inch of rain over the past 38 days at The Weather Observatory in Massac County, Illinois.
