Quiet weather continues! A warming trend is underway, as well. Peak warmth should be Thursday and Friday.
We do have some clouds that will push into the region later today.
This is in response to a weak upper level disturbance pushing into the area from the northwest. It is moving southeast.
A few light rain showers will be possible tonight/Wednesday morning over southeast Illinois and northwest Kentucky. Rain totals of 0.01 to 0.05″ will be possible. Not much and barely enough to be noticeable. It will be too warm for snow or ice.
You can see the bulk of tonight’s rain will be to our northeast. Perhaps clipping some of my southeast Illinois and northwest Kentucky counties.

Morning satellite shows the clouds pushing into the region.
Thursday into Saturday will likely be dry.
A couple of fast moving weak upper level disturbances will pass through the region Friday and Saturday.
Southerly flow will develop Saturday into Sunday, as well. This will provide an opportunity for an increase in clouds and perhaps some shower activity.
At this time, rain chances Friday and Saturday remain low. Perhaps not zero. A southern system may clip our area Friday afternoon and Friday night.

Rain chances begin to increase Saturday night into Monday. Expect at least some showers during this time-frame. Rain totals will likely range from perhaps nothing in some counties to 0.25″. Not a lot of rain. Severe weather is not anticipated.
