Well, the weatherman is getting a break from the active weather pattern over the past few weeks. Dry and warm conditions will prevail today into Monday.
Widespread 80s will be the rule. Dew points won’t be all that high. Thus, it won’t feel oppressive (like summer heat).
Great outdoor and camping weather. I am sure there will be plenty of ballgames to enjoy.
A cold front will push into the region next Tuesday and Wednesday.
Showers and thunderstorms will accompany the cold front. A few showers and thunderstorms will be possible as early as Tuesday and Tuesday night. That would primarily be across the northern portions of southeast Missouri and the northern counties in southern Illinois. Chances further south and east will be lower.
Chances of showers and thunderstorms will increase area-wide by Wednesday. At this time, severe thunderstorms appear unlikely. It is May, so stay tuned in case that changes.
Otherwise, enjoy this beautiful weather. It is certainly a gift after our recent below average temperatures (that seemed to go on for weeks).
