A severe thunderstorm is defined as a storm that produces quarter size hail or larger, 58 mph winds or greater, and/or a tornado. That is the official National Weather Service definition of a severe thunderstorm.
Wednesday night through Sunday night: Severe weather is not anticipated.
Monday through Friday: Thunderstorm chances will likely increase next week. Lightning and heavy downpours possible. Too soon to know if severe weather is a concern. The details on storm chances next week are still a bit murky. Perhaps an increasing chance from Tuesday onward.

If you have camping plans over the coming days then you should have beautiful weather to go along with it.
Perhaps a little cool in the morning, but nothing dramatic.
Patchy fog is possible each morning. This is especially true near bodies of water.
We might have to deal with some passing clouds on Thursday. The greatest cloud cover might end up over southeast Illinois and western Kentucky/Tennessee. There remains some questions about how far west to push these clouds.
You can expect a slow warming trend starting on Thursday and lasting through Sunday.
As a matter of fact, temperatures by Saturday and Sunday might reach the upper 80’s to near 90 degrees. Will someone in the region reach 90 degrees? It is certainly possible.

Dew points will also be on the rise. Dew point is what determines whether it feels humid or muggy outside. Dew points in the lower 60’s will typically start to feel a little more humid. Once you push into the upper 60’s and 70’s it becomes humid/muggy.
Dew points on Thursday and Friday should remain mostly in the 50’s. Nice.
Dew points on Saturday and Sunday will increase into the 60’s. It might feel a bit more humid on Saturday and especially on Sunday.
Rain chances should hold off until Monday or Tuesday of next week. It does look more unsettled as we push towards the middle and end of next week.
