Quiet weather today into tomorrow. Nicer dew points. It will be warm. Nothing too extreme. The lower dew points will at the very least make it feel somewhat nicer outside.
Our next weather maker approaches from the north Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. A frontal boundary will be accompanied by some upper level disturbances. This will help spread a few showers and thunderstorms southward.
I am struggling with the % numbers.
A few storms could be intense Friday afternoon and night over our northern counties. The Storm Prediction Center is watching northern portions of southeast Missouri and northern portions of southern Illinois for a intense thunderstorms.
How far south the frontal boundary sags will determine our eventual % numbers Saturday into next week.
If the front stalls in our region, then you can expect periodic showers and thunderstorms. Some could produce heavy rain. The atmosphere will be loaded again with higher dew points and moisture values.
Monitor updates for adjustments in the rain forecast Friday onward. If you have outdoor plans, then I would suggest watching updated forecasts. I would not cancel any plans. I would simply monitor updates and radars. Have a plan B in case a few showers and thunderstorms move through your area.

You are looking at different models. Meteorologists use many different models to forecast the weather. All models are wrong. Some are more wrong than others. Meteorologists have to make a forecast based on the guidance/models.
I show you these so you can see what the different models are showing as far as precipitation. If most of the models agree, then the confidence in the final weather forecast increases.
