Beau’s Forecast Discussion

Brrrr and brrrr

Please use care with heating sources.  There have been multiple fires this morning.

Check out the early morning temperatures.  These were the 7 AM numbers.

Wind chill values.  Bitterly cold.  Dangerous cold.

.

Check out all the advisories.  A lot of those light blue colors are cold weather advisories.  Dark blue are cold weather warnings.

Winter storm warnings into Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida!  Wow.

Our weather concerns will be the bitterly cold temperatures into Wednesday.

No snow or ice through Wednesday night.

A fast moving clipper could bring some snow flurries or snow showers Thursday and Thursday night.  For now, this does not to be a big concern, but I will monitor trends and update accordingly.  Perhaps a dusting of snow in spots.  Confidence in accumulation is low, for now.

I will know a bit more tonight and tomorrow morning.

I am watching a rain event this weekend!  A warming trend, as well.  Hopefully, we can put the worst of this winter cold behind us.

Here are the current rainfall totals forecast for the weekend event.

The kids will need gloves at the bus stop.

Warning signs of cold illness.

What is wind chill?  Wind chill impacts the body.  Wind chill is more important than the actual air temperature.

Outdoor pets will be cold, as well.

Livestock

Don’t forget the outdoor pets.  Water bowls will freeze.
