I have a family event today and tomorrow. No blog update today.
There are not many weather concerns through Sunday night. A couple of showers and thunderstorms are possible today over southeast Illinois and northwest Kentucky.
A very warm weekend is on tap for the region. Some locations could hit 90 degrees Saturday and Sunday (if we don’t have to deal with clouds). Mid to upper 80s are a lock.
I am closely monitoring Monday. A cold front will push into the region during the day. The atmosphere could be unstable enough for some severe thunderstorms. Monitor my updates via the Beau Dodson Weather app moving forward.
If severe weather appears likely then I will send out an email Sunday and then update the severe weather blog accordingly. Severe weather is not certain. There are still some ingredients that need to come together in order for there to be a threat.
I am watching another cold front next Wednesday/ Thursday.
The storm track appears to be becoming more active. The changing of the seasons is upon us. Monitor updates frequently.
