Weather Discussion
-
- Quiet weather. Cold weather.
- Weekend cold front with some rain showers.
.
Quiet weather through Friday evening. No weather concerns.
A cold front will push across the region Friday night and Saturday.
A band of showers will accompany the front. Generally, you can expect 0.20″ to 0.50″ of rain from this system. Once again, don’t be surprised if some locations receive no rain.
It appears warm enough for this to be either an all rain event or a rain/wet snow mix. No accumulation. Too warm.
The next weather maker arrives around Christmas eve/Christmas Day. For now, this appears to be a rain event. It may be cold enough for a snow mix, but or now there is too much uncertainty about that.
No major weather events in the cards. Our fairly quiet weather continues. Weird.

Again, as a reminder, these are models. They are never 100% accurate. Take the general idea from them.
What should I take from these?
- The general idea and not specifics. Models usually do well with the generalities.
- The time-stamp is located in the upper left corner.
.
What am I looking at?
You are looking at different models. Meteorologists use many different models to forecast the weather. All models are wrong. Some are more wrong than others. Meteorologists have to make a forecast based on the guidance/models.
I show you these so you can see what the different models are showing as far as precipitation. If most of the models agree, then the confidence in the final weather forecast increases.
