.Forecast Discussion
We are waking up to cold temperatures. There is quite a range of temperatures. Teens over our northern counties and middle to upper 20s over our central and southern counties. Some areas are a few degrees “not as cold” as anticipated.
It will be cold again today with January like temperatures. Highs will mostly be in the upper 30s and lower 40s. The wind will make it feel colder.
Winds will become gustier tonight.
Wednesday will be somewhat milder. Still cool, but not as cold as today.
Rain is not anticipated through Wednesday night.
Our much talked about rain event will push into the region Thursday into Friday.
Shower activity will dot radar Thursday morning and become widespread during the afternoon and overnight hours. I can’t completely rule out a rumble fo thunder, but for now the risk is low. No severe thunderstorms.
Widespread rain is likely Friday morning. Then, the rain will taper west to east.
I am forecasting a widespread 0.5 to 1.00″ of rain with pockets of 1.00 to 1.75″.
Here is the latest WPC rainfall outlook. Take the general idea from this. It won’t be exact.
The weather will remain a bit unsettled into the weekend. I continue to have low end rain chances. Mostly around the 20% mark. There are still questions about whether showers will actually linger into Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I will keep an eye on it.
Overall, temperatures will be near seasonal levels over the weekend. Cool. Not warm. Not too cold. Just about right for late November and early December.
No snow or ice in the current forecast. I keep watching!
We will be on a bit of a roller-coaster with temperatures over the coming ten days.

We warm up a bit tomorrow and Thursday. Cool back down over the weekend to seasonal levels.
Next week is all over the place. Some days with above average temperatures. Some days with below average temperatures.
Next Tuesday’s anomalies. Red colors. Above average temperatures.
Perhaps we dip below average again next Thursday.
Then, above average again next weekend. This is Friday and Saturday’s map. December 8th and 9th.
