How about we do it all over again today. AND, we will tack on a few degrees.

All this warm air with ZERO severe weather is quite the bonus. Typically, warm weather in November like this would be a huge red flag.
The weather is about to change.
A cold front arrives tonight. We have been talking about this front for over a week. Thus, it should come as no surprise.
Rain showers will develop tonight over Missouri and Illinois. Becoming increasingly numerous late tonight and tomorrow morning over southeast Illinois into Kentucky and Tennessee.
Rain totals of 0.00″ to 0.20″ are anticipated.
The highest risk of less than 0.05″ will be west of the Mississippi River.
The highest chance of 0.20″ will be over Kentucky (esp eastern counties of our local area). Not much. Enough to wet the ground and leaves.
The bigger impact of this cold front will be colder air filtering into the region tomorrow and especially tomorrow night.
I am forecasting widespread 30s tomorrow night and Saturday night.
Speaking of Saturday. Saturday will be dry and cool. No weather concerns.
Sunday will likely remain dry during the day.
Shower chances increase Sunday night and Monday as a stronger storm system takes shape.
This system will bring widespread rain to the region. Locally moderate rain is likely. Peak rain chances will be Monday into Tuesday afternoon.
I can not rule out embedded thunderstorms. For now, however, the threat of severe weather is expected to remain well to our south. As always, monitor updates.
The EC and Canadian models have been handling this system the best. The GFS model has been playing catch up.
The EC and Canadian take a decent area of low pressure from the Tennessee Valley into the Ohio Valley. With it will come widespread showers.
Let me show you that.
This is the EC model. The red L is the area of low pressure. Warmer air is typically located to the south and east of the area of low pressure. Colder air behind the low.
The EC model tracks the low mainly through the Ohio Valley. Keeping us on the cool side.

The Canadian model wants to take the low from Arkansas into Indiana. A bit of a different track. That would place Kentucky and Tennessee in a bit more unstable air. Thus, thunderstorms would be possible. Although, for now, it appears they would not be severe. We would need to monitor it.

Tuesday morning Canadian model. The red L is in IL/IN. A different path than the EC.
Rain totals have been slowly inching higher. Is the latest rainfall forecast. Most of this will fall Monday and Tuesday.
Let’s look at the ensembles.

EC is a higher % chance vs the GFS model ensembles. Differing opinions!

I am watching another system next Friday and Saturday. For now, confidence in the details is low.
Models have been showing rain or a rain snow mixture moving into the region. Way too soon to know if this will verify. I will monitor it, as always.
