.Forecast Discussion
Rain fell over portions of the region last night. The bulk of the rain fell across far southeast Missouri into Kentucky and Tennessee. Rainfall totals were mainly in the 0.00″ to 0.30″ range.
Little or no rain fell over our northern counties. The highest totals were across the Bootheel and along the Kentucky/Tennessee border.
A cold front moved through the region 24 hours ago.
Cooler air will remain in place today through the weekend. Seasonal temperatures. Nothing dramatic, but colder than the past week.
Our next chance of rain won’t arrive until Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. For the time being, I have left chances in the 20% range. That may need adjusting, but confidence isn’t all that great. So, for now, I will leave it at low chances.
Severe weather is not in the forecast. Ice and snow is not in the forecast.
A fairly tranquil weather pattern for this time of the year.
There are signals for a more active storm track as we move into the third and fourth week of the month. Perhaps some stronger events. I will monitor.
