I hope you are having a nice weekend.
The weather has been great.
Temperatures are running above average.
If you like warm weather, then you will like the forecast.
Widespread 70s are anticipated Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Some locations will hit 80 degrees Wednesday! That is 10 to 20 degrees above seasonal averages. How about that!
We will have gusty winds Monday into Wednesday. Peak wind gusts will likely be Wednesday. Some gusts above 30 mph are anticipated. Nothing extreme, but breezy. Spring like winds!
The cold front that we have been watching has slowed down. It won’t arrive until Thursday. Thus, rain chances have been removed until Wednesday night.
Peak rain chances will be Thursday into Thursday night. Ending Friday morning. A few lingering showers possible into Friday.
It will turn quite a bit cooler Thursday night into the weekend. Again, nothing extreme, but it will feel cooler after our warm spell.
At this time, severe weather is not anticipated. As a matter of fact, for now I don’t have lightning in the forecast with the front. I will monitor trends.
Rain totals of 0.4 to 0.8″ are anticipated. Locally higher totals are possible over mainly Kentucky and Tennessee.
Here is the latest WPC rainfall totals forecast. This has increased some over the past couple of days.
