Good morning, everyone. I hope you and your family are not having to clean up storm damage from the past five days of severe thunderstorms. Many are. Some lost everything. Our thoughts, prayers, and action go out to the communities impacted.
Finally, after five days of severe weather, I do not have severe thunderstorms in the forecast! I overslept this morning. It has been a very long week.
Over the past five days, we experienced numerous reports of golf ball to tennis ball size hail, tornadoes, numerous lightning storms, reports of wind gusts above 80 mph, and up to FOURTEEN inches of rain! What a week of extreme weather. And, it is July! Unusual, to say the least.
And yet, through all of this, some areas received very little rainfall and remain in severe drought.
No blog today. But, the trade-off is the calm weather. The videos have been updated.
A couple of showers and storms will be possible Sunday, then a warming trend into next week.
The blog will return Sunday night or Monday morning.
