January 3, 2023
Okay, everyone. I pushed us through the severe weather event.
Now, I need some family time. A time to grieve.
I worked last night’s event from a hotel in Georgia. Sadly, I am here for my aunt’s funeral. It is at 11 am today.
My aunt Debbie meant the world to me. She always always made me smile and laugh.
I don’t ever recall a time when she didn’t have a smile on her face. I can hear her laughter in my head.
No matter what was going on in my life, she made me laugh and smile. She was just that kind of woman.
When she arrived and walked into a room – you knew she was there!
We had a family reunion a couple of months ago and Debbie was there. Bright as sunshine.
This is the second family member we have lost during the pandemic.
We also lost Daisy and Scooter during the pandemic. That is a lot of loss and sadness.
Today, we lay Debbie to rest. I know she will be smiling and shining down on us.
She was a Christian woman. I know she is in Heaven. Probably making some angels laugh.
I will be off work for a couple of days. I need some time to regroup, rest, and grieve.
The weather will be calm after today’s storms. A few more storms this evening.
Wednesday into Sunday will be mostly quiet. Perhaps some showers Saturday.
I will try and return Friday or Saturday with the blog and forecast updates.
It has been a long two weeks of weather. From the winter storm to last night. Pretty much non-stop.
I appreciate ALL of your support. Thank you to all the new subscribers. You guys and gals are literally what keeps everything running.
Time to rest.
I will update the blog this weekend.
Other than today’s thunderstorms (Tuesday) the weather will be quiet through Friday.
Some showers are possible Saturday.
