Want to add more products to your app notifications?

You may not be aware, but your www.weathertalk.com offers several options for the products your Beau Dodson Weather app receives.

Everything you see on a daily basis is made possible by your subscription.

Log in to www.weathertalk.com and click the notification settings tab. Find your phone number. Click the products you want to receive.

Green is on. Red is off. Simply click on them.

These are all included in your subscription package.

Everyone receives the first one. That is for severe weather and winter storm alerts.  Always keep that one on.

The second one is media updates during severe weather and winter storm events. That includes the daily blog, the daily videos, and more.

The third one is the seven-day forecast for your county. I hand-type these.

It includes severe weather outlooks, winter storm outlooks, information on tornado and severe thunderstorm risks, a fire weather forecast, and more!

The fourth option is Weather Extra. This is to receive the daily blog and videos for non-severe-weather, non-winter-storm days. This one does not replace option two. Turn them both on if you want everything.

Some snow flurries and snow showers are possible today into Sunday.  Mainly today.

Wind chills will be an issue this weekend.  Remember, wind chill is what it feels like to the human body.

Wind chill can lead to frostbite.  Bundle up.  Bundle up the kids.

Let me show you the wind chill values

Several people have fallen through the ice over the past few days.  Please make sure the kids stay off the area lakes and ponds.  Rivers, as well.

Let’s take a look at the low temperatures for the upcoming week and weekend.

A WIDE variety of temperatures.  If you have a deeper snow pack, then temperatures are a bit lower than shown.  If you have a few clouds during the overnight period, then temperatures will be a tad warmer.  Either way, it is cold.

Model guidance is inconsistent with this system.  Some data shows widespread rain and snow.  Other data shows no precipitation.

It is still a bit too early to be confident about that event.

Monitor updates moving forward.

.
I use it myself. I encourage everyone to have 3 to 5 ways of receiving their severe weather information. All sources can fail, and the more sources you have, the better prepared you will be in the event of severe weather warnings.
.
WeatherCall will call your cell phone or home number if your home is under a tornado or severe thunderstorm warning.  It only calls you ifyour home is inside the warning box/polygon. If you are outside the warning box/polygon it will not disturb you.
Here is a video with more information and a demonstration of how it works.
