Good morning, everyone

Short and sweet today.  Not much is going on weather-wise.

A beautiful day ahead of us.  No weather concerns.  The same will be true into the weekend and likely into early next week.

Some locations could experience lows in the thirties tonight.  Light frost is possible in locations that tend to be a bit colder.  Widespread frost is unlikely.

The risk is slightly higher across southern Illinois and northwest Kentucky.

A weak system will pass through the region on Friday night.  A couple of light showers are possible over southern Illinois and northwest Kentucky.  Don’t expect much.

I  continue to watch a stronger cold front around the 18th to 22nd.  That front would bring colder air.  That is beyond the seven-day forecast period.  For now, I am just monitoring trends.

Enjoy the nice weather.  It will feel a bit more like autumn over the coming days.
