Good morning, everyone.

Well, our rain event has pushed off to the south.  This was a major/widespread rain event for our region.  I received numerous reports of one to three inches of rain with pockets of three to six inches!

Here are some radar-estimated totals.

We certainly needed the rain.  A bit of a rare event.  Usually, we would not see that much rain without a tropical system (in September).  We got lucky!

Next week’s drought monitor maps will reflect all of this rainfall.  Let’s see what they show.

Nice weather conditions are forecast today into next week.  No significant weather concerns.

We could have some patchy fog at night.

I will keep an eye on a potential tropical system developing off the southeast coast of the United States.

For now, it is forecast to remain east of our region.  With that said, sometimes these systems change course.
